STANDARDS FOR PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT

Standards for personal protective equipment are optional to use, but all of them are linked to directive 89/686/EEC. In that way all certified products are also compatible to directive 89/686/EEC. Blåkläder working with different standards makes it easier for you as a customer to know which requirements the garments fulfill.

A product which has been approved and certified may be marked with the CE-mark. The CE mark provides documentation that the product complies with performance standards set for a product of such nature. However, it is not an assurance that the product will prevent risk of accidents or severe injuries when the user is exposed to such risks in a working environment.
